Picton's Annual Santa Claus Parade

Santa's coming to downtown Picton on Sunday December 4th, 2011 at 1pm. What a perfect way to kick of the Christmas Season and enjoy an afternoon in Picturesque Picton!

The parade features over 4 marching bands, festive floats and community groups which entertains over 1,000 spectators. New this year; hockey great Angela James will serve as the 2011 Parade Grand Marshall. James was one of the first women inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto for her contribution to women's hockey. (Click Here for more information on Angela James)

The parade route begins at McFarland Drive (at the Beer Store) and continues through Main Street to the intersection of Highway 33, Talbot & Lake Streets (at the LCBO). There will be great viewing along the entire route.  

Before the parade, stop by and visit Santa at the Crystal Palace. Have your photo taken with Santa and participate in the FREE Child Identification Clinic; sponsored by the Prince Edward District Masonic Lodge No. 18.

Following the parade, Experience historic downtown Picton as many businesses will be opening their doors to the community by offering special sales, featured products and much more. "Spend it in Picton" by downloading our 'Town & Country Christmas Bucks' (Coupons) that are worth 5 bucks and can be redeemed on purchases $40 or more (before taxes) at any ONE of the participating businesses open on Sunday December 4th - some restrictions apply. Shoppers who use these coupons will also be entered 

into a draw to win an 'Old Tyme Town & Country Christmas' gift basket - filled with products from downtown Picton.
